Booking and Services
The Mountain Company assists customers in finding suitable accommodation, arranging transfers, and organising activities related to their holiday arrangements.
Third-Party Providers
The Mountain Company may work with third-party providers, such as accommodation, transportation and any other provider the client requests to fulfil the travel arrangements and holiday services.
Customers accept that the terms and conditions of these third-party providers apply to the services they fulfil.
Our platforms may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of the content on such websites or resources.
We do not guarantee the uninterrupted or error-free operation of our products and services. We will not be liable for any damages or losses incurred as a result of any interruptions or errors.
Planning Fee

The planning fee is non-refundable in all circumstances.

Clients are strongly advised to take out appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellations, medical issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Refund Policy for Bookings

Cancellations made 35 days or more before the holiday start date are eligible for a 100% refund, excluding the planning fee.

Bookings cancelled less than 35 days before the holiday start date are non-refundable. However, The Mountain Company will endeavour to recover as much of the cost as possible from third-party providers, and any amounts successfully refunded will be passed on to the client.
Accommodation Variations

Hotels (refundable rates): Refunds apply if cancelled more than 35 days before arrival, unless otherwise stated during the booking process.

Hotels (non-refundable rates): No refunds apply, unless otherwise stated during the booking process.

Chalets, apartments, or special offers: Refunds will vary depending on the provider’s terms and will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
Swiss Rail Tickets

Refunds of up to 70% of the ticket amount are possible if cancelled more than 35 days before the holiday start date.
Client Responsibility

It is the client’s responsibility to review and agree to the cancellation terms of all third-party providers before confirming a booking.

The Mountain Company acts in an advisory and booking capacity only and cannot be held liable for losses or non-refundable amounts due to cancellations.
Alterations
The Mountain Company GmBh reserves the right to make alterations to these terms and conditions and all advertising material at any time. By using our website or making a booking, you agree to use the current version of our terms.
Dispute
If at any time a client is unhappy with the service, let us know immediately and we will endeavor to resolve the request as soon as possible.
For any claims against The Mountain Company GmBh, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Zermatt, Valais, Switzerland.
Payment Options
The Mountain Company offers clients two options for settling their holiday package payments:

Option 1 – Full Payment (Preferred Option):
• Full balance due within the timeframe specified on your invoice.
• Cancellations made up to 30 days prior to arrival are eligible for a full refund (excluding the non-refundable planning fee).
• After 30 days, we will make every effort to recover funds from third-party providers; however, refunds cannot be guaranteed.

Option 2 – Split Payments:
• First instalment due within 10 days of accepting our offer (as indicated on your invoice). This instalment generally covers the planning fee and guiding services.
• Second instalment due no later than six weeks before the holiday start date. This instalment generally covers accommodation, transfers, lift passes, equipment rental, and other pre-booked services.
• Failure to pay either instalment by the stated due date may result in cancellation of the holiday booking in line with our cancellation policy.
Methods of Payment

Bank Transfer: Our preferred method. Invoice details will be provided and must be used to complete the transfer.

Secure Online Payment Link: Available upon request. Payments via card are subject to a 3.5% processing fee.
Currency
All invoices are issued in Swiss Francs (CHF). If paying in another currency, your bank or card provider will determine the exchange rate and any additional fees.
Data Handling
By providing your credit card information, you consent to The Mountain Company securely holding and using this information to book additional activities and reservations on your behalf.
Consent
Your explicit consent is required for the collection and use of your credit card details for booking purposes. This information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.
Purpose Limitation
The credit card information you provide will only be used for the specific purpose of booking activities and reservations as requested by you.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your credit card information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.
Compliance
The Mountain Company complies with Swiss data protection laws, including the Federal Data Protection Act (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where applicable.
Information Usage
Your credit card information will not be shared with third parties for any purpose other than facilitating the booking of activities and reservations specified by you.
Client Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your credit card information held by The Mountain Company, subject to legal requirements.
